How Finance Frontier News sources, writes, and discloses
Transparent editorial standards. Primary sources only. No sponsored content. Corrections logged permanently.
Six pillars
- Primary sources only. FED transcripts, SEC EDGAR filings, ECB Working Papers, BIS reports, OECD data.
- Data before opinion. Every article opens with thesis line + supporting chart + 3-data-point summary.
- Sources cited bibliography. Each analysis publishes numbered bibliography end-of-article. Links permanent.
- Editorial independence. No paid placements. Occasional broker mentions disclosed inline at point of mention.
- Anti-clickbait policy. No Top 10 Stocks 2026. No marketing language. Headlines stick to analytical assertions backed by data.
- Contrarian-friendly opinion. Bloomberg + Matt Levine + Tracy Alloway editorial voice. Measured contrarian when data warrants.
Sourcing standard
Every assertion of fact in a FFN analysis links to a primary source. Primary sources are : official statements, transcripts, filings, working papers, regulatory documents, and exchange data feeds. Secondary aggregation (Reuters reporting on a FED announcement, Bloomberg summarizing an SEC filing) is never cited - FFN goes back to the primary document.
The standard primary sources used by FFN include : FED (federalreserve.gov FOMC minutes + transcripts + speeches), SEC (EDGAR filings 13F + S-1 + 10-K + 8-K + ETF prospectuses), ECB (Working Papers + Economic Bulletin), BIS (Quarterly Review + Annual Economic Report), OECD (Economic Outlook + statistical compendia), Pitchbook (PE/VC deal data), NVCA (VC quarterly reports), Carta (private market pricing), Morningstar (active vs passive fund performance data).
Editorial process
- Thesis formation : a question or anomaly observed in the data.
- Primary source research : 6-15 primary sources collected and cross-checked.
- Chart construction : 1-3 inline charts built from primary data.
- Draft write : opening one-line thesis + supporting chart + 3-data-point summary + body + verdict box + sources bibliography.
- Self-edit pass : remove marketing language, check for clickbait, verify every assertion has a primary source.
- Publish.
